SOFIA ENERGY BUSINESS FORUM

Bulgarian Energy Holding organizes Energy Business Forum in Sofia on 24 April 2009. The event is parallel and complementing to the Energy Summit “Natural Gas for Europe: Security and Partnership”, 24-25 April 2009, Sofia, Bulgaria, hosted by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Georgi Parvanov. The Energy Business Forum will be opened by the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Sergei Stanishev and the European Commissioner for Energy, Mr. Andris Piebalgs was invited to close it.

The topics to be discussed during the Energy Business Forum will cover projects and initiatives of major priority for the Region, the diversification of the existing routes and sources of supply, as well as sharing of opinions on key issues such as security of resources, structuring of partnerships, ideas of the business with reference to possibilities and sustainability of the expected effect on increasing of the energy supplies security on European level through diversification of routes and sources of supply.

The Energy Business Forum will adopt Conclusions, which will formulate the vision and the contribution of the energy industry to the Summit high-level dialogue.

At the Energy Business Forum are invited both regional and global leading gas companies, representing the natural gas consuming countries from the South East Europe and the Black sea region, as well as natural gas exporting and transiting countries from the Caspian Sea, the Middle East and North Africa.
